About
My journey has involved a number of areas of psychology. I have experience working with children with neuropsychological differences across arenas, including both in-home support and treatment and within a juvenile offender facility. My assessment experience also crosses various ages and areas. I made it a point throughout my training to gain as much varied experience as I could, knowing that would help me recognize the various presentations of disorders and symptoms. However, I have always found myself drawn back to working with children and adolescents. This age group is truly where my passion is.
Support is tailored to you and your family's individual needs. While we used evidence based treatment and assessment, it is not one size fits all. We as providers adjust to what works best for you, and consistently communicate with you about our recommendations for treatment and intervention. It is truly a therapeutic relationship, and one that keeps your needs at the center of the conversation.
I have always been driven to work with those populations who are underserved and often have limited resources to receive the services they need, whatever that may be. There is such a need for the types of services we provide, and in the way we provide them. Being able to provide a service like this, and know it will make such a huge difference in the life of that patient with learning differences, is a huge driving force for doing this work. Getting an accurate diagnosis, and most importantly, knowing what to do with it, can truly change the life of both the client and their family's.
