There is nothing more powerful than the parent/child relationship. My goal is to help parents understand their children better and for students to know themselves better. I find joy and humor in my interactions with kiddos and accept them as they are while knowing that everyone can learn.

I've been working with children for over 10 years. I live in Houston with my fiance and two dogs. I love riding bikes, succulent gardening and food of all kinds.

About

Jocelyn

What was your path to becoming a provider?

I worked in wrap-around services and loved working with students that have ASD. As I obtained my degree, I've continued to provide counseling and consultation. I understand the difficulty of trying to connect with your child and pointing them on the right path.

Why are you passionate about helping students with learning differences?

I want parents to understand their children better. When parents have that knowledge of their child's strengths and weaknesses, parents can truly help their child be successful in life.

What advice would you give to a family who is on the fence about signing up for a learning assessment (or learning support/counseling/therapy)?

Learning more and understanding the strengths and weaknesses of your child can only enhance your relationship and give your child the proper tools to be successful in life.
