Laurel is a Speech-Language Pathologist in the beautiful state of Colorado, and has worked in multiple settings, including home health, private clinics, and schools. She believes strongly in respecting the needs of her clients and works hard to provide the best services.
She strongly supports a neurodiversity-affirming approach to therapy. She doesn't try to fit her clients to a certain mold - she wants to help them be their best selves by honoring their unique differences and wants/needs.

Laurel
I loved language from a young age and watched my mom make a difference as a speech therapist herself. I decided at 18 that I wanted to be one as well! It's been nine years since I graduated with my Master's degree, and I have been fortunate enough to work with 11 month olds, 105 year olds, and everything in between!
There isn't a one size fits all approach to learning. I feel that I can aid in a client's learning by respecting their individual wants/needs and thinking creatively and out of the box.
I would assure them that being anxious is completely valid, but also that there are many tools, tricks, and resources out there to help them bridge those gaps.
