About
Lisa
I have seen first hand the growth and development students can achieve with support services and I firmly believe that every child deserves that. I think we should not place limits on anyone and that watching a child succeed is the most gratifying thing you can do with your career.
I am a firm believer that intervention and the earlier the intervention possible is the best way to ensure success for a student. The goal of support services is to help a student gain confidence, skills, and more that may not have happened if they did not receive support. I always say my job is to be so good at my job that it makes what I do unnecessary. In other words, I try to do the best I can so that a student can become as independent as possible and achieve great things!
I have been involved in education in one way or another since I was a child. I have always championed for the success and achievement of all students. I got my undergraduate degree in elementary education but very quickly realized I wanted to specialize in special education so I went to back to school to get my master's in special education, and that has led me on the path I am on today.
