Matthew Bowman
Hello everyone! My name is Mr. Bowman and I am a tutor here on Parallel. I have nearly 9 years of experience working in education and this is my 6th year as a State of Michigan certified teacher. I have experience as both an ELA teacher for grades 6-12 as well as my current role as a Reading Interventionist for grades 2-12 over the past 3 years. I have a great passion for building relationships with young scholars and helping them reach their goals. I look forward to meeting and working with you!

Matthew
I'm passionate about helping students with learning differences because each student is like a different puzzle. Just like every puzzle has different shaped and colored pieces, each student has a slightly different way of "putting things together" in their mind. I love helping students solve their own "puzzle."
I started off as a high school football and track & field coach. That gave me a glimpse into a future of working with students. This inspired me to return to school, get my Masters in Education, and earn my state teaching license. I truly enjoy helping students get from point A to point B, and I'm looking forward to doing that with Parallel Learning!
I get excited about the opportunity to help students in such a unique way with virtual learning. Being able to have an impact from far away is a pretty special feeling.
