I am a bilingual psychometrist with 7+ years of experience in conducting cognitive testing. I have worked with a variety of populations including ages 3-80, military and private practice. I completed a B.A. in psychology at San Diego State University. I went on to get my M.S. in Neuropsychology and Cognitive Science at the University of Kent.

I was born and raised in San Diego. Spanish was my first language and I learned English through school and friends and family. I have two dogs and we love going to the beach and running around in the waves!

Why are you passionate about helping students with learning differences?

I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn according to the method that speaks to them most. I think the fact that not all students learn at the same speed or in the same way can be over looked in traditional school settings.

What advice would you give to a family who is on the fence about signing up for a learning assessment (or counseling/therapy)?

It is never a bad idea to proceed with support. The longer you put it off, the longer you will continue to wonder what could be helpful in your/your child's learning journey.

What gets you excited about Parallel?

I am so excited about all the services that Parallel offers. It is so comprehensive and truly offers students support at every step of their educational process.
