Sehar Siddiqui
I am a school psychologist with three years of providing services in the elementary school setting, and one year of experience providing services as a school psychologist intern in the high school setting. I am passionate about collaborating with families and schools to make education accessible for all learners. I also love providing direct services in the form of counseling with students; it is a pleasure to connect with students and incredibly rewarding to guide them towards more independent problem solving and emotion regulation skills!
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and cat Winnie, traveling to new places, and experimenting with new cooking and baking recipes. I also love shopping and discovering new fashion trends!

About
Sehar
I have always been passionate about supporting others in a social-emotional capacity, and I believe social-emotional care is integral to closing the gap between what a student knows, and what a student has not learned yet. Becoming a school psychologist has allowed me to use a more holistic approach in my work with both students and families.
It is normal to feel anxious about learning challenges at school! Learning can be hard sometimes, but it can also be fun and it's always worth it to keep trying. What's most important is to focus on the helpers, and to remember that every child is learning at their own pace. All children are unique in wonderful ways! No one has the same challenges or gifts as you. Remember what you can do, and take your learning one day at a time and you will start moving closer to your goals.
It has been so rewarding to help students with learning differences because once a student starts getting the help they need, it is such a privilege to watch them grow and become more confident. Also, helping families better understand their child is also rewarding in its own right. Often times, families will feel relief and have obtained some clarity on why their child is struggling, and this helps them feel more empowered to take next steps in helping their learner.
