Tiana Taylor

I have had a great journey working with students. I started working with the nonprofit program, Upward Bound, teaching students interview, resume writing, and scholarship application skills. I later transitioned to work directly in the schools as a school psychologist. I have had an amazing opportunity working with all grade levels and people from many backgrounds.

What was your path to becoming a provider?

I started working with high school students in an Upward Bound Program in Los Angeles. I found that I loved working with students so much that I went on to attain a higher education in an area suitable to work one-on-one with students and provide many different elements of support. As a school psychologist, I am given the opportunity to provide assessments, counseling, coaching, and PLAYING GAMES!

Why are you passionate about helping students with learning differences?

Children are our future. As a mother, I understand how important it is to see students thrive. I have a passion for learning students challenges and figuring out how to support them.

What gets you excited about Parallel?

Parallel learning creates an element of support that reaches many more students than the traditional setting. I want to join the team of providers that are making a difference in student's lives.
