Lamil

What advice would you give to a family who is on the fence about signing up for a learning assessment (or counseling/therapy)?

My words of advice to a family or parent is to seek professional support as early as possible for your child's needs to improve their quality of life and speech and language development.

What was your path to becoming a provider?

When I graduated from high school, I decided to major in Speech Language Pathology recommended by a childhood friend. I enrolled in two courses and loved it. I love communicating and helping others with their communication. It was a great experience learning about speech and language development in college. I had an opportunity to learn from the best professors in the field of speech language pathology. It has been 17 rewarding years as an SLP.

Why are you passionate about helping students with learning differences?

I am passionate about helping students with learning differences because I believe every child can succeed and reach their goals to be successful.
